Each color has its own psychological and visual impact and meaning. By knowing these characteristics and effects, one can use colors in various ways, and use them correctly.

Red

Red is the warmest and most powerful color known in nature. For this reason, red attracts all eyes. Restaurant waiters often use this color for their uniforms.

Wine, Jade, Navy blue, Dark red

Dark colors made by adding different amounts of black to powerful colors, instill a sense of grandeur, power, and sophistication that are suitable for menswear and formal wear. For example, the color of many statesmen’s outfits is navy.

Pink, salmon, lemon

These colors which are the combination of different colors with white convey a feeling of softness and dream. This combination is widely used in women’s and especially young girls’ clothing.

Violet/purple

Violet is a mysterious color. Few samples of it can be found in nature. Different amounts of purple convey different effects. Lilac; is a strange color that evokes longing and sadness. If the use of white color increases, it conveys a poetic and melancholic feeling. This color was particularly popular in the Victorian era and among the Romanticists. However, pale violet is a very subtle color that is used a lot in fashion shows and fashion houses. But let’s not forget that we should avoid excessive use of this color because it is part of nostalgic colors.

If we increase the proportion of red in the combination of red and blue, a wonderful purple will be obtained, mysterious and eternal, which evokes wizards in movies. If we put green, orange, and even red next to this color which somehow reminds us of fear and anxiety, it will give a bright combination that is more suitable for teenagers’ clothes and not suitable for serious people.

If in the red and blue combination, the contribution of both is equal, the visual balance is established so that the extreme heat of red is controlled by the coldness of blue. This combination is among the magnificent colors and looks more prominent and glorious next to yellow and orange. Rusty green and amber yellow alongside, look very aristocratic, original, and somehow old.

A series of colors known as professional colors are used in designing the clothes of managers business owners and even politicians. Black and gray are mostly used in these designs with streaks of red, orange, and light brown. The moderation and sobriety of the gray color instill dignity and calmness in any neighboring color and make them gentler.
